Presentation Style website using ASP.Net.

Integrated over 100,000 products with Amazon.com using web services. The purpose of the integration was to make all of their products available on amazon.com.

This 100,000+ members-only web site included the following Technical Specifics (in just 7 weeks of development):
 

• 77 ASP pages (with lots of ASP and JavaScript code)
• 17 HTML pages
• 1 cascading style sheet
• 5 JavaScript libraries
   

The conversion to Microsoft technology included the physical transfer of the web site to a new hosting facility, replacing existing PHP script with ASP script, replacing MySQL with Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 and re-coding the administration interface. The web server is a Windows 2000 server using IIS 5.0 with ASP pages accessing the backend database Microsoft SQL server 7.0.

The technical conversion involved using all existing functionality while adding additional. Additionally, Prestwood customized a special version of Ultimate Bulletin Board (UBB) for their members only. Since there were existing problems with the old web site, we had to rush development and were able to go live seven weeks after development started. This highly secure members only eCommerce enabled web site with a custom message board cost about $40,000.

The admin interface provides a means of maintaining instructor, course, class, and student data. The site uses and Access DB with a schema consistent with the Access DB used by the accounting department. Authorize.Net provides the real-time credit-card payment mechanism.

Another good example of our Presentation Web Site Package with a few add-ons. Added to the basic package was movie clips of the kids in class and a photo album with several hundred pictures. This presentation type web site cost about $4,500.

This site demonstrates the integration of a credit card processing service (Authorize.Net using their WebLink(tm) service), ability to add additional products in the future using the shopping cart product CommerceCGI v2.01. CommerceCGI is a perl CGI shopping cart script from Carey Internet Services (http://careyinternet.com). CommerceCGI not only provides a decent shopping cart, but also includes an admin interface for such tasks as adding products and an internal connection to the Authorize.Net credit card processing.
